Les Hautes de Lynch Moussas 2019 Haut Medoc

Les Hautes de Lynch Moussas is the delicious 2nd wine of Chateau Lynch Moussas. This is a full-bodied stonker of a wine with deep red fruit, cassis and lovely spicy oak notes on the palate. It is a wonderful texture, soft tannins and graphite notes. Lovely stuff!

Chateau Lynch Moussas was purchased by Emile Casteja, who was already running Chateau Batailley, in 1969. It was a run down and neglected Chateau which has seen a complete overhaul and modernisation in the past 40 years. It now produces wonderful, modern claret that is a joy to drink. The vineyards are slightly dispersed around Pauillac but mainly on gravel and clay. The 2nd wine is classified as Haut-Medoc and is a real bargain!
