Terra de Asorei 'Nai e Senora' Albarino 2023
Albarino Nai e Senora from Terra Asorei is a superbly dry and Atlantic influenced white from the Salnes Valley which sits in the heart of the Rias Baixas region of Spain’s Northwest province of Galicia. Will stumbled across this beautifully presented wine by accident when hanging out at Hotel Aiguaclara in Begur. The label, quality and price made the hair on the back of his neck stand up! The Nai e Senora is Terra Asorei’s fresher style with pure mineral, saline flavours wrapped round the crisp lemon and green fruit. The palate is more tropical with herbal notes coming through. It’s a brilliant wine with shellfish or as an aperitif with our Perello Gordal olives.
Terra de Asorei is a modern, forward-thinking winery located in the Galicia region of Rias Baixas in the Northwest of Spain. The Albarino grape variety thrives here in this cooler, Atlantic influenced corner of Spain (I.e, it rains a lot). Terra de Asorei farms 60 hectares of vineyards aged between 15 & 80 years old in the sub-region of the Salnes Valley. The winery as we know it today was formed in 2008 when six families, who had previously worked together as a mini co-operative, joined together to form one company. They are committed to the sustainable, humane and socially responsible production of high quality Albarino.
