Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla is a relatively young Bodegas which was started in 1972 by Fernando Andrada-Vanderwilde who took over some old sherry and brandy soleras from a couple of local bodegas. In 1999 Jan Pettersen, a Norwegian with 15 years experience at Osborne, bought the company and concentrated on producing high quality, complex Sherries. The Classic Manzanilla is amazingly zippy and salty. It is light, dry and packed with citrus and tangy nutty flavours. All of Fernando de Castilla wines are unfiltered.
