Confidences de Prieure-Lichine 2019 Margaux
Confidences de Prieure-Lichine is the 2nd wine of Margaux estate, Chateau Prieure-Lichine. It is a charming and elegant wine with dark red fruit aromas and a nice floral edge. The oak flavours of cedar, balsamic and roasted coffee beautifully balance with the silky, ripe cassis and bramble berry fruit on the palate before ending in a mouth filling crescendo of amazingness. It is an exquisite wine from a top estate and amazing vintage. Enjoy with classic roasts.
Chateau Prieure-Lichine is a 4th growth Bordeaux chateau situated in the Margaux region. It is an estate which has seen vast improvements over the years under the guidance of some of Bordeaux’s best consultants – Michel Rolland and Stephane Derenoncourt. The estate has just under 80 hectares of vines on gravel soils scattered over approx. 40 parcels, it is a very fragmented estate. The wines have a high Merlot content which gives them a richness and suppleness which is unique for the region.
