Last week esteemed wine writer Jancis Robinson. wrote two glowing reviews on Sybille Kuntz‘s Trocken Rieslings. We could not agree more with Janics and continue to champion Sybille and her wines every step of the way! You can read Jancis’ reviews below.
The first is the Riesling Qualitätswein Trocken 2020
” Gosh! So chock-full of wild-flower (biodynamic) flavours. Really beautiful. Gorgeous Already. Vital and unlike the Mosel Rieslings of old (more potent and drier) but such a well-balanced joy. Intense but not heavy. Great to drink with or without food. But probably not for the very long term. “
12% Drink 2021-2026. 17 points. Jancis Robinson 2021
This wine can be found on our website here.
The second wine is the Riesling Kabinett Trocken
“ A miracle of concentration and extract. Perhaps not the delicate flower of a typical Kabinett but gosh its chock full of flavour! Almost more tropical flowers than wildflowers. really sets the cat among the pigeons of, ‘classical’ Mosel. But that’s presumably climate change for you. Fabulous wine that qualifies as off-dry and is hugely emphatic.”
12.5%. Drink 2021-2028. 17 points. Jancis Robinson 2021
N.B. The Kabinett available on our website is still the 2016 vintage (which is still completely delicious). The 2020 vintage will be arriving soon!
