Mahi Pinot Noir is a full and rich style of Pinot Noir with dark cherry and plum fruit perfectly combined with spicy oak notes, mocha and hints of pepper. The wine has a lovely, lush texture which is medium bodied and perfectly balanced with soft tannins and the lovely ripe red fruit.
Mahi was founded at the turn of the last century by Brian & Nicola Bricknell. Brian had worked for 15 years as a wine maker around the world, before returning to Marlborough to start his own project. Brian wanted to showcase, not only Marlborough’s regional characteristics, but also focus on unique, high quality, single vineyard plots. They now have eight individual vineyard sites which are planted with specific varieties to suit each plot. The resulting wines have an air of elegance, texture and complexity, which are utterly delicious.
