This beautiful estate dating back to the 1400’s really impressed us. The estate is located in the south of the visually stunning Marche region, which sits on the east coast of central Italy. The climate here is Mediterranean with hot, dry summers tempered by the maritime influence of the Adriatic Sea only 8km away from the vineyards. All the farming is organic.
It is produced from only the best Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes, and mellowed in oak barrels. Montepulciano gives the wine a juicy softness and the Sangiovese provides cherry fruit and structure. It is a wine which is at its best served at room temperature to accompany all kinds of roast meat and game.
Both the red and white (Falerio) offer wonderful value and embrace everything which is fantastic about Italian wine.
