Quinta do Portal d'Ouro 2021

Quinta do Portal d'Ouro is a heady blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca & Tinta Barroca made in Portugal’s Douro valley. It is a full bodied wine but super smooth and silky tannins. Dark black fruit notes, soft bramble fruit and lovely sweet spice notes on the finish. This really is excellent value.

Quinta do Portal is a modern boutique winery located in Portugal’s hot Douro valley. They are one of many Douro producers who have moved into the production of still wines along with the traditional fortified wines of the area. Modern wine making techniques and better vineyard selection has made the production of still wines easier and they have moved away from being tannic, alcoholic bombs.
