Opawa Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Opawa Sauvignon Blanc is another banger from the premium vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand. The wine is alive and bursting with passionfruit, lime, kiwi, exotic perfume and fresh sweet herbs. It is expressive and juicy on the palate with refreshing acidity and a finish that goes on longer that a circle. The Opawa wines are sourced mainly from two parcels of vineyards planted in the early noughties by the wonderful Nautilus Estate. The vineyard is an old dry riverbed which formed after flood prevention schemes changed the course of the river. The newly created land is free draining and full of stoney soils which absorb the daytime heat and radiate it back into the vines at night. It is an ideal spot for grape production.

Nautilus is a fantastic, family-owned winery located in Marlborough, New Zealand which was established in 1985 by the Hill-Smith Family. They have always been at the forefront in terms of quality in New Zealand and have long believed in vineyard selection and the blending of these vineyards to achieve complexity and texture in their wines.
