Miles Mossop Saskia 2020

Miles Mossop Saskia is a truly brilliant Chenin Blanc dominated blend, which is enhanced by the addition of Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Verdelho and Viognier. It is an opulent white with intense notes of white peach, toasted brioche, ripe grilled pineapples and a hint of white pepper spice. There is an underlying hint of honey blossom, honeysuckle and dried apricots. It is a heady complex white and a lovely food wine. Superb and unique wine.

Miles has been making his own wine since 2004 and until 2018 also held down the position of head winemaker at Tokara. In the past few years, he has expanded both his production and range and now, after leaving Tokara, is solely focused on his own wines. Miles has a very simple approach which starts with sourcing the best grapes from the best vineyards and picking them at the right time. Production is limited to 80 tons and focuses on Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. These are truly handcrafted and wonderful wines which bring all the joy and instant pleasure of warmer climate wines together with the elegance and complexity of French wines.
