Fonseca Vintage 2000

Fonseca 2000 is a rich, inky and opulent Port with rich black fruit, plum, damson and blackcurrant fruit. At just over 20 years old it is starting to develop some lovely flavours of spice, fruitcake, liquorice, olive and fig. There is still some tannic grip and this is still a young Port but it is bloody tasty.

Fonseca is one of the great names of Port which can trace its history back to 1815. They first shipped vintage Port to London in 1840 and have built a reputation for structured, long lived Ports with great finesse and heady flavours.
