Domaine Christophe Vaudoisey Meursault ‘Les Vireuils’ is a refined and elegant wine with wonderful aromatic freshness, citrus fruit, creamy richness and hazelnut notes. The palate is poised, well balanced and displays further aromas of honey, tropical fruit and baked spice notes. Lovely wine.

Christophe and his son Pierre are the 8th and 9th generations of the Vaudoisey family to tend the vines at this magnificent estate that has been in the family for over 200 years. Like many Burgundian producers, Christophe and Pierre combine generations of knowhow and an in depth understanding of the vineyards with modern techniques to produce wines that are full, complex, rich and consistently good. A new cellar was built in 2008 which provides modern wine making facilities for these amazingly traditional wines. The reds spend 16-18 months in oak (30% new) and are some of the silkiest and most seductive Burgundies we have tried in recent years. The fruit is ripe and elegant and perfect for drinking now.
