Chateau d'Issan 2020 Margaux

Chateau d’Issan 2020 is a textured wine with amazing depth and structure. There is a wonderful combination of fresh red fruit, raspberry and cassis along with perfumed notes of violets and rose further enhanced by stone and crushed rocks. The palate is expressive with tobacco and exotic spice notes coming through. Magnificent wine with power, finesse and elegance.

Chateau d’Issan is a beautiful 18th century Chateau (complete with moat) that is often cited as one of the most romantic Chateaus in Bordeaux. The vineyards cover 52 hectares and are planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The wines are rich, silky and a little heady in hot vintages but are always well textured and elegant. The Chateau is one of the best performing Margaux estates and well deserves its 3rd growth classification. Blason d’Issan is the 2nd wine from the estate and is always amazing value.
