Deyrem Valentin is a blend of 56% Merlot, 43% Cab. Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. It has luscious dark fruits on the nose, black cherries and plums and is characterised by well-integrated oak. The palate is opulent with sweet spice, chocolate and coffee flavours coming through. It is a typically joyful Margaux with power and flashy opulence. A great drink.
Chateau Deyrem Valentin is owned by Jean Sorge who runs the winery with his two daughters. The 13 hectare vineyard sits on a superb site, composed of deep gravel, which had a vineyard on it since 1730. It is a fantastic small family owned operation nestled in amongst some of the superstar names of the Margaux appellation.
