The de Burgh Monthly Mixed Case - September 12x75cl + FREE JAR OF OLIVES!
September is a charming transitional month. The nights draw in, the leaves turn golden orange, the temperature drops and the word “Christmas” starts to get mentioned. In reality, it just gets a bit dreich! I find myself looking for more earthy reds with a little more structure and warmth to them. Traditionally that would be Syrah from southern France but we’ve run with a couple of South American’s this month that are just a little riper and brighter to hopefully bring a little much needed cheer. Again, the whites have more texture. A Chenin from the Loire Valley and a lovely Australian Chardonnay which takes me back to 1995. The real star however is the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh from Domaine Sergent. Amazing wine! Oh, and we are throwing in a free jar of olives worth £4!
