Riedlin Rose is a uniquely brilliant Rose made by Markus Kuntz. It has wonderful fresh red berry flavours along with a depth of flavour and texture which is quite unique for a rose wine. The juice is bled off after crushing (Saignee) and is the same quality of grape used for the red wine. The wine also spends up to six months on its lees which helps it develop into something special.

Weingut Riedlin is owned and run by Markus Kuntz-Riedlin, the husband of leading Mosel producer Sybille Kuntz. The vineyards are in the town of Laufen in southern Baden and have been in the family since 1656. Markus’s speciality is Spatburgunder, or Pinot Noir as it is known outside of Germany, and he produces two wines – a red and a rose. Prior to the 2010 vintage, the grapes had been sold off, but Markus decided to bottle a wine under the Riedlin label for the first time in generations. The vineyards are now farmed organically, and the wines made at the Kuntz winery in Mosel.
