Garnacha 'La Vina de Bululu' de Andres Sisters 2017
Bululu Garnacha is made by the charming de Andres sisters in the up and coming high altitude region of Alto Alberche which sits in the Sierra de Gredos national park. The vineyards are just over 1000 meters high and are planted on granite soil which makes for an exceptional terroir especially when combined with a natural approach to wine making. Indigenous yeasts, very low sulphur, concrete tanks for fermentation and aging along with a very soft fining. We have ended up with quite a remarkable wine for the price! The wine is elegant and vibrant with red fruit on the nose and a silky chocolatey palate and delicate herbs on the finish. The low tannins makes it an absolute crowd pleaser and would suit most red meat dishes and even spicy meals.
