Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage 2008

Fonseca Guimaraens is an approachable vintage Port created due to the rising demand in the 1950’s. The grapes are sourced from the same three estates that Fonseca makes its main vintage Port from but the Guimaraens is made in years when the components are more supple and early maturing. The result is a magnificent Port with all the hallmarks of the greatest vintages but with a more approachable feel. Intoxicating blackberry, perfumed and richly spicy.

Fonseca is one of the great names of Port which can trace its history back to 1815. They first shipped vintage Port to London in 1840 and have built a reputation for structured, long lived Ports with great finesse and heady flavours.
