Domaine Ragot Givry Vieilles Vignes is a superb value Pinot Noir with an abundance of fragrant red berry fruit and gentle spice notes. It is quite concentrated and shows superbly balanced oak notes along with a herbal finish. A great wine to drink now or keep for several years.
Domaine Ragot is a 9ha estate, exclusively covering the Givry appellation, run by Nicolas Ragot. Nicolas has been at the helm since 2008 and is the 8th generation of his family to farm these vineyards. During his time in charge, he has constructed a new winery, given up on herbicides, changed cultivation methods and lowered yields. All of this has resulted in a profound improvement in the finished wine and has propelled the Domaine to be widely regarded as one of the best in the appellation.
