Product Details

Chateau Bernadotte 2015 is a cracker of a wine and contender for best value wine of the vintage. It is a plush and silky wine with dusky black fruit, brambles and damson notes. The palate has lovely spice notes, gravel, black pepper and smoke. It has amazing purity and balance and is ready to go right now. Get it while you can!

The Chateau at Bernadotte was built in 1860 and eventually sold by the family in 1973 to Curt Eklund, a Swedish pilot. He constructed the winery in 1987 and although the wines had a good reputation the estate was rather neglected as Curt was absent for large parts of the year. He sold the property to Pichon Lalande in 1997 who were subsequently bought by Champagne Louis Roederer in 2006. Significant improvements were made during this period and the wines became better and better. The estate was sold again in 2012 to the King Power Group in Hong Kong. Bernadotte represents great value and super tasty Bordeaux. They may have an ambition to push their prices up in the coming years so enjoy it while you can!
