Moreau-Naudet is a 25-hectare Domaine run by Virginie Moreau. The Domaine has vineyards across all levels of Chablis and sells the grapes from the younger vines off in bulk. Virginie took over after her husband, Stephane passed away. Stephane was well respected and although Virginie was a novice she has shown a remarkable talent for winemaking. Farming is organic and Virginie is a great believer in later picking for optimum ripeness in order to avoid overly green flavours. They are also one of the producers who age for the longest before release with the 1er Crus seeing 18-20 months sur lie in a mixture of stainless steel and used demi-muid oak barrels. These are wines of great complexity, texture and depth whilst retaining the racy appeal of great Chablis.
