I stumbled, entirely by accident, into the wine trade well over a decade ago. Since then, I’ve done pretty much everything – sold, bought, imported and actually made the stuff. I even had a brief stint as a sommelier. Throughout all that, however, writing had always been a hobby for me, and in recent years became more of a passion. I wrote Salt & Old Vines in hopes of marrying these two passions, writing and wine. I’m hugely grateful to Tarquin for the opportunity to reach out to his clients to share my stories of winemaking in the Roussillon. We go way back, both in the trade and sharing mutual friends for 30-odd years or more, and I wish him the best of luck in his new (ad)venture.
