We choose de Burgh for their exceptional customer service and flexibility with deliveries but also their recommendations with tailor made choices based upon both event specifications and preferences. De Burgh wines pride themselves upon supplying good quality wine and this is exactly what they do!

The staff know what they are talking about, offer an efficient service and above all pride themselves on the quality of their products – surely a must for any successful wine merchants! We love our service from de Burgh, enjoy giving them custom and have recommended them to family and friends.
We have a standing wine order from de Burgh which arrives once a month. I cannot praise them highly enough on their customer service. It is second only to their beautiful wines. We trust the team to choose us the finest selections to fit our budget and we have never been disappointed. I don’t know what I did before de Burgh!
I stumbled, entirely by accident, into the wine trade well over a decade ago. Since then, I’ve done pretty much everything – sold, bought, imported and actually made the stuff. I even had a brief stint as a sommelier. Throughout all that, however, writing had always been a hobby for me, and in recent years became more of a passion. I wrote Salt & Old Vines in hopes of marrying these two passions, writing and wine. I’m hugely grateful to Tarquin for the opportunity to reach out to his clients to share my stories of winemaking in the Roussillon. We go way back, both in the trade and sharing mutual friends for 30-odd years or more, and I wish him the best of luck in his new (ad)venture.

The calibre of champagnes and sparkling wines has been outstanding at this year’s competition. These Gold medal winners are absolutely stunning, and whether you are looking for a bargain in the supermarket aisles or a big name to wow your friends for a special occasion, there is a wine for you. It is wonderful to see such quality across all styles of sparkling wine. Who doesn’t love to break open the bubbly now and then?
The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel. The effect of these glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make.
People who drink wine from a Riedel Glass, drink the better wine.
